Bar Screen for stormwater tank
Stormwater tank bar screens ensure the effective retention of solid and floating waste during rain events, protecting downstream hydraulic structures and facilitating plant operation.
A stormwater basin, retention basin, or storage basin is generally equipped with a bar screen in order to remove the largest debris from the water before they later enter the sewer networks or wastewater treatment plants.
One of the particularities of this retention basin application is that the bar screens are used in bursts, over a generally short period of time, during which they must remove a maximum amount of waste. We will therefore ensure we advise you on the right hydraulic profile but also, in case of significant depth below the installation floor, an optimization of the cycle time.
Our bar screens for retention basins are thus perfectly suitable: robust, efficient, reliable, simple to operate, etc.
Three XG12 type automatic bar screens, equipped with 40mm bar spacing screens, installed in concrete channels 1400mm wide and 4000mm deep. Each line can treat up to 2.4 m3/s with a well-established hydraulic profile and is equipped with emergency bypasses. Finally, each bar screen has its own FB Procédés design electrical cabinet, with operation incorporating variable speed control.
An NG21 type vertical automatic bar screen, fixed directly to the wall of a stormwater tank. It is capable of treating more than 1 m3/s and is not placed directly facing the effluent inlet pipe to protect the screen (40mm bar spacing). Indeed, the effluent hits a stainless steel box before feeding the bar screen from the side. This metallic box is equipped with a manual emergency screen in case of a problem with the automatic screen. Finally, the bar screen and manual screen assembly is accessible via a platform, all of FB Procédés design.
An XG12 type vertical automatic bar screen, equipped with a 25mm bar spacing screen and installed in a 2000mm wide concrete channel. This installation must be able to handle up to 1.30 m3/s. To achieve this, we have equipped the channel with a weir downstream of the bar screen to optimize the hydraulic profile. The goal is to reduce the effluent flow velocity, thereby improving the "screening function."
Two XG12 type vertical automatic bar screens, 30mm bar spacing, installed in a secure concrete manhole of FB Procédés design. This manhole is equipped at the inlet with a baffle wall to break the effluent velocity, two bypasses protected by 50mm bar spacing manual screens, and finally two main channels each with an automatic bar screen. Each line must be able to treat 1.8 m3/s.
