PROMEL Rotary Drum Screen

What is a rotary sieve?

A rotary screen is a mechanical filtration equipment designed for the continuous separation of liquid and solid matter. Used in the pre-treatment of urban wastewater or industrial effluents, it allows the retention of fine particles and suspended matter (MS) that would not be removed by simple sieving.

The PROMEL model operates on a moving filter drum: the effluent passes through the grille (the mesh of which varies according to the required fine filtration), while solid waste is captured at the surface and then automatically discharged by a washing system. This technology guarantees permanent dewatering, ensuring constant flow and reduced maintenance.

Rotary Filter

A robust stainless steel design for pre-treatment

The PROMEL model is an internal feed screen designed to ensure effective liquid-solid separation. Fully manufactured in Stainless Steel 304L or 316L, it guarantees optimal resistance in the most demanding environments.

  • Maximum flow: Up to 100 m³/h.
  • Filtering meshes: From 0.8 to 3.0 mm for increased precision.
  • Efficient drum: Diameter from 400 to 640 mm with an inclination of 5°.

A principle of operation with self-cleaning rotation

The effluent enters the drum where the water passes through the perforated sheet while the waste is retained.

  • Waste transfer: An internal screw drives the solids towards the discharge hopper by rotation.
  • Anti-clogging system: A rotating brush and a washing ramp (flow rate 27 L/min at 4 bars) ensure the continuous cleanliness of the drum.
  • Reliable motorization: Equipped with a NORD motor reducer from 0.25 to 0.75 kW.

Simplified and secure maintenance

The PROMEL has been designed to reduce downtime thanks to optimized ergonomics:

  • Total access: Top cap on hinges and removable side panels with a 1/4 turn key.
  • Intuitive control: Control box with «forward-reverse,» «forced rinsing» and emergency stop functions.
  • Maximum safety: Safety switches connected to the hood and the hopper.

Options and modularity for your installations

To adapt to your configuration, FB Processes offers various options:

  • Overflow protection in the event of accidental clogging.
  • Chassis with adjustable support feet for a perfect upgrade.
  • Possibility of direct association with our compacting screws or presses.
  • Custom-made hoods, adaptors and electrical enclosures.
  • Bypass with metal channel equipped with a manual grille
