Bar Screen in a storm surge basin

bar screens Stormwater retention ponds ensure the effective retention of solid and floating waste during rainy periods, protecting the hydraulic structures downstream and facilitating the operation of the installations.

A storm water basin or retention or storage basin is usually equipped with bar screen a pump to remove the largest waste from the water before it can later end up in the sewer systems or treatment plants.

One of the peculiarities of this retention basin application is that the pumps bar screens are operated in bursts, over a generally short period of time during which they must pump out a maximum amount of waste. We will therefore ensure that we recommend the appropriate hydraulic profile, but also that, in the case of significant depth below the installation plan, we optimize the cycle time.
Our bar screens retention basins are therefore perfectly suited: robust, efficient, reliable, easy to operate, etc.
Bar Screen XG

Three XG12 bar screens automatic models, equipped with a 40mm slot grille, installed in concrete channels with a width of 1400mm and a depth of 4000mm. Each file can process up to 2.4m3/s with a well-established hydraulic profile and is equipped with a backup bypass. Finally, each bar screen has its own electrical cabinet designed by FB Procédés, with a control system integrating a speed variation.

Bar Screen on a storm drain

A vertical NG21 type bar screen automatic, mounted directly on the wall of a storm water basin. It is capable of handling more than 1m3/s, and is not placed facing the effluent inlet pipe to preserve the grille (gap 40mm). In fact, the effluent hits an INOX box before being fed into the bar screen system from the side. This metal box is equipped with a manual backup grille in case of a problem with the bar screen. Finally, the entire system bar screen/manual grille is accessible via a walkway, all of which is designed using the FB Processes concept.

Bar Screen on a storm drain

A vertical XG12 type bar screen automatic, equipped with a 25mm gap grille and installed in a 2000mm wide concrete channel. This installation must be able to absorb up to 1.30m3/s. To achieve this, we equipped the channel with a downstream overflow gate bar screen to optimize the hydraulic profile. The goal is to reduce the flow velocity of the effluent, and thus improve the «degrating function».

Bar Screen on a storm drain

Two vertical XG12 type bar screens automatic valves, 30mm diameter, installed in a secure concrete basin designed by FB Processes. This basin is equipped with an inflow barrier to slow down the flow of the effluent, two bypasses protected by manual grilles with a diameter of 50mm, and finally two main channels with an bar screen automatic valve in each one. Each line must be able to process 1.8m3/s.
