Last week we equipped a communal lifting station with a vertical SG400 type bar screen automatic lift.
The context was as follows:
– Concrete post with an inner diameter of 1600mm. Wall thickness 120mm
– Post exceeding the ground by 1200mm
– Post equipped with a manual basket, protecting two lifting pumps
– Our client wishes to improve the operating conditions of this station. The manual basket cleaning is tedious and does not provide sufficient protection for the pumps located downstream (towels, sanitary napkins, condoms, etc.).
Following a request from our client and a visit by our sales representative to take measurements, we propose installing a pump bar screen that will be installed in place of the manual basket, placed against the vertical wall of the station and facing the effluent inlet pipe. It does not take up any more space, and both pumps can always be operated without any modification.
The advantages: the waste is directly dumped into a bin located outside the station; fewer contacts with the waste for the operator; optimized pump protection; no interventions required at the station; all spare parts bar screen are accessible from outside the station.
