3 bar screens and 2 screws on a STEP

15/02/2023

For the last few days, a wastewater treatment plant in the south of France has been bringing together part of our expertise.

Specifically, a bar screen «rough» one installed directly in the entrance post. It bar screen is attached to the vertical wall of the post, facing the inflow conduit of the effluent. The pumping operation downstream in the post remains perfectly functional. The waste is discharged outside the post in a compacting screw.

In the event of a problem with this bar screen, the effluent can be bypassed via the manual basket attached to the lower chassis, at the level of the grille.

We point out that in this type of installation, all wear parts are accessible from the outside of the post.

Then, after pumping, we find a metal box – of design FB Procédés – with two channels in which two bar screens «steps» are installed. This box is also equipped with a bypass. The two channels bar screens discharge the waste into a compaction screw, which sends the debris from the de-grillage system to the ground floor via a downcomer.

It is important to point out that all these products are our own design and are exclusively manufactured in our workshops located in the Nantes suburbs.

If you have any questions about similar or other needs, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team. They can travel to your site to advise you and take charge of your project.
