2 bar screens on a network of rainwater pipes
At the end of October, our technicians Cédric and Geoffrey replaced two bar screens competitors in the Paris region, who had been installing rainwater networks for several years. Instead, we installed two bar screens XG12 type systems.
One of the major differences in terms of technology between the old and the new models is that the former were cable-driven, whereas the latter have a single central belt. In this respect, it is worth noting that each bar screen has a width of 2000mm. With the technology FB Procédés, a single belt is sufficient, regardless of the width of the duct bar screen. The belt is supplied to the correct length, so no adjustments are required. Finally, a belt can be changed in 15 minutes without having to stop the flow from the installation plan, thus ensuring complete safety. As is the case with the rest of the spare parts.
At the customer's request, we also dismantled the conveyor line because, now, the refuse will be poured directly into waste bins placed under the chutes of the elevator bar screens.
In terms of the duration of our intervention, from the dismantling of the existing system to the commissioning of the new equipment, it took us two long days.
